Department of Civil Engineering organized a ten days Extensive Survey work for 3rd year Civil Engineering students from January 13th to January to 20^th January 2017 at Yekkar, Near Kateel, Mangalore District. The Extensive Survey work was coordinated by Mr. Sunil Kumar B S, Asst. professor. A group of 70 civil engineering students  were a part of this activity. The students were trained to perform survey of various Civil Engineering practical projects.

The Department of Civil Engineering organized a ten days Extensive Survey camp for 3^rd year Civil Engineering students from January 7^th to January 16^th 2016 at Chakranagara, Hosanagara, Shimoga District. Mr. JayaramNaik, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering was the Camp officer. A group of 78 students accompanied by all Civil Engineering faculties were a part of this camp. The students were trained to perform survey of various Civil Engineering practical projects. Two dam visits were organized during the camp. One to the Chakra  Reservoir, Shimoga District on  January 10^th 2016. Another dam visit was held on January 16^th 2016 to the Savahaklu Reservoir, Shimoga District.

Department of MBA organized a guest Lecture on 23^r November 2015, on Financial inclusions by Dr. N.K. Thingalaya, Chairman Academic Council, Justice K.S.Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte. The programme was to create awareness pertaining to rural banking and challenges that bankers would face in the process of financial inclusion.

A technical talk on “MOBILE COMMUNICATION” was organized by the Electronics and Communication Engineering department on 9^th September 2015 Mr. V.G.Naik ,BSNL,Mangalore   was the speaker.

A technical talk on “INTERNET OF THINGS” was organized by the Electronics and Communication Engineering department on 22^nd August 2015.Mr Sudhanva Rao, Senior Software Engineer , BOSCH Bangalore was the resource person.

A technical exhibition was organised by Department of MCA on “Mobile applications for windows and android platform” from 17^th to 27^th August 2015.  The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. G.K. Bhat, CEO, Techpro Technologies Private Ltd, Mangaluru and Mr. Nidhish Shetty, Vice Chairmen, SDET was guest of honour. Students exhibited various mobile applications describing the facilities and flexibilities in Windows and Android operating systems. Nearly 2000 students of D.K. and Udupi district attended this exhibition.

A technical talk was delivered by Mr. Harish and Mr. Salim, Training Department, V-Technologies, Bangalore on “Home Appliance Automation”. Students of 4^th year Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering attended the technical talk on 7^th August 2015.

A technical talk on “Life After Student’s Career” was organized by the MCA department on 31^st July 2015. Dr. BimalKantaNayak, Principal, Department of M.S.W, Eritria University, Africa was the resource person.
