With over 31 years of experience and proficiency in teaching, research and administration in Engineering Education including being the Registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Dr K E Prakash is currently the Principal and Director of Shree Devi Institute of Technology.

Dr. K E Prakash has done his B.E in Civil Engineering, M.E in Structural Engineering, Ph. D in Civil Engineering, MIT – Information Technology and Masters in Computer Applications.

He has also published 50+ research papers at National and International Journals and Seminars. Apart from VTU, he has served as a Member of Board of Examiners and Member of Board of Studies in Civil Engineering in various Universities. Under his guidance four students got Ph. D and three students research work is under progress.

He is the life member of Indian Society for Technical Education, Fellow of Indian Institute of Engineers and Chairman of Indian Concrete Institute, Mangalore centre.
